# **PSL 2025: Sixes, Stumps, and a Whole Lot of Drama**

*By someone who watches PSL more seriously than their job*

## **A Season to Remember (and Scream About)**

Pakistan Super League 2025 gave us everything we love about cricket — massive sixes, toe-crushing yorkers, some weird hairstyles, and of course, fans passionately blaming the captain for every loss.

This season was like a drama serial — every episode (read: match) came with twists, heartbreaks, and that one guy who got out trying to play a reverse sweep for no reason.

## **Lahore Qalandars: Champions Again, Because Why Not?**

**Lahore Qalandars** decided that winning is now their thing. They lifted the PSL trophy again in 2025, making it their **third title in just four years**. Honestly, they’re winning more than our relatives play Ludo.

They beat **Quetta Gladiators** in a final that had more tension than a desi wedding. Chasing over 200 runs, Lahore pulled off a last-over thriller with Sikandar Raza and Kusal Perera finishing the job like absolute legends.

Fun fact: **Sikandar Raza** played a Test match in England, caught a flight, landed just 10 minutes before the toss, and still had the energy to win the match. Most of us get tired just opening the fridge.

## **Players Who Stole the Show (and Our Hearts)**

* **Shaheen Afridi** was back doing Shaheen things — bowling fast, scaring batters, and somehow always looking angry. He grabbed **19 wickets**, and probably a few broken stumps along the way.

* **Sahibzada Farhan** scored **449 runs** and made batting look way easier than it actually is. Basically, he was the human version of a cheat code.

* **Hassan Nawaz**, from Quetta, got **Player of the Series** because consistency is cool, and he definitely didn’t come to PSL just for a vacation.

## **Opening Ceremony: Lights, Music, and a Bit of Lip Sync**

Like every year, PSL kicked off with a flashy opening ceremony — fireworks, live performances, and some “dancing” that made people question if the choreographer had resigned last minute.

The anthem *"X Dekho"* was released and, as usual, fans were split — half loved it, half muted it. That’s PSL tradition now.

## **Prize Money: Wait, That’s It?**

Lahore Qalandars may have won the trophy, but when the prize money was announced, some players looked like they were hoping for a hidden bonus. Let’s just say, the celebration vibes dropped faster than Karachi Kings' run rate.

## **Team Round-Up: The Good, The Bad, and the Just-There**

* **Islamabad United** looked good on paper, and sometimes even on the field.
* **Peshawar Zalmi** gave us a few good games and a lot of memes.
* **Multan Sultans** were solid, but luck left them halfway through the tournament.
* **Karachi Kings**… well, they tried. That’s all we’ll say. Trying matters too.

## **Final Thoughts: PSL = Pure Stress & Love**

PSL 2025 had us cheering, crying, and pretending to be cricket experts. It’s more than just a league — it’s a full-blown emotional rollercoaster. You scream at the screen, you cheer like crazy, and then spend the next day defending your team on Twitter.

Now that the season is over, we’ll go back to normal life — pretending to work while watching cricket highlights.

**Till next season, PSL fans! May your favorite team win (unless you're a Karachi Kings fan, then may the cricket gods bless you with patience).** ????????
